Freelance Financial Reporter: Japanese, Korean,
Vietnamese, Malay, Chinese or Thai-speaking
Leading U.S. news and data firm, SNL
Financial is expanding its service in Asia and is seeking freelance, financial
reporters throughout Eastern and Southeast Asia to supplement its news coverage
of Asian financial institutions. The position entails daily
researching and writing. Candidates must be able to read financial news stories
in an Asian language and concisely summarize them into English. Stories must be
submitted daily by 6 a.m. HKT.
Candidates must be fluent in both spoken and written English, as well as in one or more of the following: Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Indonesian/Malay and Thai. The successful candidate will have familiarity with financial markets in his/her covered region, an ability to quickly and accurately summarize source material in one language into another, and computer proficiency.
